What Good Weekends Are Made Of

Imagine taking something fun, adding old friends and cool new people to befriend, and mixing in a healthy dose of ministry. That was my weekend. I went with a group of MBBC students to Camp Chetek for Truth Weekend. Good stuff.

We got to do an improv show with some Xcal (If you're not sure what this is, stay tuned. You'll hear a lot more about it in the future, I'm sure.) veterans. At 1:00 AM. Improv's crazy enough as it is. Do it at that hour of the night, and it's a whole new reality. It was a lot of fun for everyone.

I also got to see the first half hour or so of Batman Begins. Good movie. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest, um, sometime. Hopefully. Maranatha's not exactly the best place to be for movie-watching.

Plenty of other cool things went down this weekend, but in the interest of time I'm going to jump to the greatest—seeing a boy get saved that we were praying for all weekend, and his friends and the camp staff have been praying for much longer than that. It's always amazing to see God work, and this was no exception.

Ministry, movies, fun, and friends--that's what good weekends are made of.
